Save the Tiki Hut!

There are plans underway to raze the Hilton Head Holiday Inn and turn it into condos. This plan would mean the end for a great island hang out, the Tiki Hut. This is an island icon.

It's a shame, too. It seems like the politicians were able to pretty much freeze the whole movement. The lady who's running it is pretty dedicated, but she only has so much time for it. By stalling the whole thing, they're going to create the public misperception that 'we've won,' since the Hut will reopen in the spring. Trying to kick start any public outcry after that will be damn near impossible.
